UDP Victory Rally

Following a landslide victory country wide, the United Democratic Party held rallies country wide in every municipality. On Saturday March 7th, the UDP took to the streets celebrating their victory through a parade. After starting near the airstrip, the parade wiggled its way through most principal streets in San Pedro Town. Hyped party supporters chanted “UDP: All The Way,” as they dance and waved flags high in the air.









The parade ended at the Central Park, where the newly re-elected members of the San Pedro Town Council addressed the multitude, all echoing their gratitude for their support and promising to bring betterment to the municipality. Present at the ceremony were two term Mayors, Enrique Hilberto Campos of Corozal Town and Simeon Lopez of Belmopan City. Guest speakers included the Area Representative and Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Culture, Honorable Manuel Heredia and the Deputy Prime Minister of Belize, Honorable Gaspar Vega.
