Summer Sailing Camp to be hosted at Caribbean Villas

Share

Summer is here and children across the island are out of school and of course, have lots of free time and much mischief to get into. With that in mind, the San Pedro Sailing Club is hosting a free sailing program at Caribbean Villas Hotel to promote a productive recreational activity. The program will be for children between the ages of nine and 15 and will run from Monday, July 14th to Thursday, July 24th. The program will be divided into eight mini sailing camps. Students will learn the basics of sailing, including two hours of private “in the boat” sailing lessons under the supervision of a nationally recognized and Belize Sailing Association certified sailing instructor. The program will also consist of two hours of “on-land” lessons where students will learn knot-tying skills, parts of the boat and general principles of sailing. At the end of the camp, certificates of completion will be awarded to participants.
