Belize Sotheby’s donate uniforms to San Pedro Cadet Corps

On Wednesday July 9th the San Pedro Police Cadet Corps was the recipient of uniforms courtesy of Shane and Britney McCann of Belize Sotheby’s International Realty.
Sotheby's Cadets Uniforms Donation-5For the cadets, the uniforms couldn’t have come at a better time, as they will be attending the National Police Youth Cadet Camp at Mopan Technical High School in Benque Viejo Town from July 19th-26th. Cadets from all districts will assemble at the two-week camp which comprises of lectures, foot drills, sporting activities and field trips among other disciplinary and physical practices.
Sotheby's Cadets Uniforms Donation-2Shane McCann is currently the President of the San Pedro Police Cadet Corps and Freddy Gonzalez is Vice President. The San Pedro Police Cadet Corps is currently headed by PC Juan Chuc, community officer #971/drill sergeant. To date, the core is made up of 25 members, ages 7-14, but will be accepting new recruits in October. For the cadets, the corps has provided them with an outlet to develop discipline, civic pride, and even provides academic support through homework assistance. The cadets have monthly meetings and are scheduled to conduct a community clean-up with the South Ambergris Neighborhood Watch in October.

The twenty five youngsters were proud to sport their new threads tailored by Caribe Creations.
