Letter to the Editor: Julian Smith

Share

I would like to share my response to Chriss Roggema’s Letter to the Editor dated October 23rd.

Dear Chriss,
Please forgive me I have no right to be involved in another country’s business. I and my wife are American and have only had the extreme pleasure of three brief visits of three weeks per trip. So I write really as an encouragement to your recent Letter to the Editor.
I picked up on your frustrations in that letter. So from a brother at heart if not by nations I can only agree with your intentions.
I would only like to offer this and pray that it is published. “IN THE ABSENCE OF GOOD MEN, EVIL PREVAILS”
Once again, please forgive me, I mean not to chastise you in any way….but more to encourage you. Good men and women are extremely hard to come by in every nation and at times we feel as though we are in the wilderness standing upon the hill shouting to no one.
Keep up the fight and know that change happens far too slowly at times.
But in the absence of good …Evil prevails.
Sincerely a lonely admirer from Ohio who has a long distance love affair with Belize.
Stand tough and finish the fight you never know who’s reading.

/s/ Julian Smith
