Caribbean Depot Collections Officer robbed on the way to the Bank

Collections Officer for Caribbean Depot, Mr. Felix Ayuso Sr. was robbed of over $50,000 on Monday April 23rd. Reports are that on Friday April 20, 2012 at around 8am, Felix Ayuso 64 year was on his way to make a deposit when he was attacked.

Ayuso informed the San Pedro police that he had departed Caribbean Depot located on Blake St, travelling in a northerly direction, when at the corner of Princess drive and Hurricane St. he was robed.

Ayuso reported that he was approached by two male Hispanic persons standing about 5′ 6″ in height, one of whom was wearing a black cap, black long pants and a green shirt on a bicycle. He stated that this individual jumped onto his golf cart and pushed him off the cart causing him to fall to the ground.

The assailant then allegedly helped himself with the deposit bag which was in the golf cart dash board covered with a white towel. According to Ayuso he made pursuit of the assailants but lost them in the vicinity of Pedro’s Inn along Princess drive.

Police were called and responded where it was learned that the bag contained a total of $48,805.00 in cheques and $10,700.85 in cash. Police currently have no suspects for the robbery and are seeking the assistance of the general public who may have any information to please contact the San Pedro police and forward this information as it may be useful.
