25 year old Jessie looks forward to representing Belize in the prestigious La Reina de la Costa Maya Pageant on August 7th, 2008.

Belize will be well represented by Iris Jessie Medina at this year’s La Reina de la Costa Maya International 2008 pageant. The 25-year-old, five feet seven inch (5’ 7") beauty competed in the official Miss Belize 2007 Pageant held in September 2007 and, although, she was a late entry, Jessie proved herself to be highly competitive and competent to garner the 1st runner up position.
Jessie was originally born in El Salvador, grew up in Guatemala and came to Belize at age 13 and became a Belizean. She speaks English and Spanish fluently, works at the Corozal Free Zone as the Assistant Manager of the Corozal Free Zone Development Company. Jessie’s dream is to own and manage a chain of fine restaurants that specialize in Latin and Belizean cuisines in keys tourism areas of Belize. She enjoys dancing, cooking, working out, Supa G music, photography and modeling.
Jessie is no newcomer to pageants. She was Señorita Jaripeo in El Salvador, second runner-up in the Miss Pan-American Pageant in Orange Walk, and was Señorita Traje de Baño in Orange Walk. Jessie has also represented Belize in the Miss PJD2 annual Caribbean Pageant recently held in the island of St. Maarten with 30 other delegates in March 2008, and is now competing for Belize through Pageants Belize in the Dominican Republic at the Miss America Latina Pageant along with over 27 delegates. The Miss America Latina finals will be held on June 28th and Pageants Belize wishes her the very best. Faby joins the talented roster as part of the entertainment for Belize's largest festival of the year, Costa Maya!

Also booked to perform for both Friday and Saturday night is singing sensation Fabiola Rodas. Born Jackeline Fabiola Rodas Valladares on September 6th, 1996, she showed from an early age her desire to perform, through her singing, dancing and general fun outlook to life. She also enjoys learning new languages, and speaks English, Spanish, and is currently learning German and Italian.
She has been the opening act for such big names as Vicente Fernandez, Eros Ramazotti, Pimpinela, Belinda, Pandora and Angelica Valle. She has represented Guatemala at “The World Championships of The Arts”, winning seven gold medals and five honorable mentions in seven different musical performance categories including R&B, Pop, Rock, Latin, Dance and Vocal, and Broadway.
She is currently writing and composing her own songs and is in the process of recording and producing an album through Home Studio Recording. The end product will be finalized and organized at a professional recording studio and rearranged and mixed by producers from as far as Chile, Argentina, Mexico and the United States of America.
This vibrant and multi-talented rising star is excited to be performing at Belize’s very own Costa Maya Festival, and we’re sure she will be a hit. She joins such great artists as Supa G, Grupo Crash, Nathalie Arceo, Dennis Wolfe and the Usual Suspects, Mayan singer Alonzo Heredia, Ballet Folklorico de Quintana Roo de la Secretaria de Cultura, Comedienne “La Chupitos”, and international stars Grupo Bryndis.
