Police-NewsDrug Trafficking
*On Saturday, December 6th at around 3:30AM, acting on information received, San Pedro Quick Response Team (QRT) personnel visited a local night club to conduct a search on 27-year-old Deon Young. The search led to the discovery of a rolled up piece of toilet paper, containing seven small transparent zip lock bag which contained a white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine and two small transparent tied plastic bags which contained a brown looking rock suspected to be crack cocaine. The suspected drugs amounted to 2.7 grams of suspected cocaine and 1.3 grams of suspected crack cocaine. He was informed of the offence committed and where formally arrested and charged for two counts of Drug Trafficking.
Possession of Controlled Drugs
* On Wednesday, December 3rd at approximately 1:35AM while the San Pedro Police were on mobile patrol on Swan Street, they observed 30-year-old Henry Williams acting suspiciously. As a result, a search was conducted on him, which led to the discovery of 1.4 grams of suspected Cannabis. He was informed of the offence committed and formally arrested and charged for “Possession of Controlled Drugs”.
* On Thursday, December 4th at about 11:30PM, San Pedro QRT personnel conducted a search on 25-year-old Miguel Angel Campos who was at a local bar. The search led to the discovery of a small transparent zip lock plastic bag containing white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine, amounting to 0.25 grams. He was informed of the offence committed and formally arrested and charged for Possession of Controlled Drugs.
Burglary
*28-year-old Shafara Garbutt reported that on Saturday, December 6th at 3AM, she left her apartment room located on Pescador Drive and upon returning shortly after, along with her husband Omar Nal, they noticed that the door was opened and the lock was broken. They then pulled the curtain aside and clearly saw a male of Hispanic descent inside the room. Nal apprehended the person until the police arrived and detained him. Upon making checks, they noticed that her 28 inches Akai flat screen TV Serial valued at $1,500BZ was missing from the room. As a result, Police made checks in the immediate area and retrieved the stolen item and handed it over back to complainant. The burglar was identified as 27-year-old Juan Ku. He was formally arrested and charged for “Burglary”.

*On Tuesday, December 9th San Pedro Criminal Investigation Branch and Special Branch personnel conducted a searched on 18-year-old Alex Espat. The search led to the discovery of a 2 1/2 inch glass pipe suspected to be used in connection to the smoking of Cannabis. He was formally arrested and charged for Possession of Pipe.
