Share

The PUP (People’s United Party) has announced its slate for the Municipal Elections to be held in 2012. Going up for Mayor is Mrs. Conchita Valdez-Flota, while councilor candidates are David Aguilar, Marina Kay, Reymundo Nuñez, Wally Nuñez, Vianie Perez and Maribel Vasquez. In a special gathering held on Saturday, July 30, 2011, Milo Paz, Chairman of the PUP (Belize Rural South) welcomed supporters. He explained how the selection process took time, with the committee tasked to choose from 17 applicants for the slate. Of those 17, three were up for Mayor. The final slate came up after careful selection and evaluation – for the PUP wanted to present a Blue Team that was ready to work hard to uplift San Pedro.

Patty Arceo, Standard Bearer for Belize Rural South, also addressed the gathering. She reiterated her promise to help make a better San Pedro – which will be done through listening to the people and helping them achieve their best.

Afterwards, refreshments and nibbles were served to those in attendance. The PUP executive thanks supporters for their presence.
