San Pedro High School excel in regional tournament

The San Pedro High School is the Northern Regional Basketball Champions after defeating the New Hope Technical High School of Orange Walk Town over the weekend. Thirteen secondary schools from the northern districts and Ambergris Caye participated. S

SPHS secured a spot in the finals after defeating Escuela Secundaria Technica de Mexico of the Corozal District. Besides claiming the championship SPHS also brought home the title of Most Valuable Player, awarded to Charles Richards for the entire northern zone.

The females were not as lucky as the male’s team; they narrowly lost to Orange Walk Muffles High School and settled for third. Both teams were presented to the school body that applauded the teams for their excellent participations. Kudos to SPHS male and female teams for making San Pedro proud.
