CDB, UK to improve safety and climate resilience along arterial road on Belize’s east coast
The Governments of Belize and the United Kingdom and the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) on February 24th launched the Coastal Highway Upgrading in La Democracia, Belize. The current unpaved roadway traverses mostly low-lying terrain and has poor drainage, making it impassable at certain times of the year. Climate change is exacerbating the risk of flooding in the area.

The workshop was held on February 25 at the National Agriculture and Trade Show Grounds Conference Room in Belmopan.
