A beach soccer marathon was held on Sunday, August 9th, starting at 4PM at Infinity Island Beach Bar, formerly Island Wonder. The games were organized by Infinity Island, DJ Debbie, and Glenda Sanchez. The event featured both female and male divisions and was played in a five-a-side format with 10-minute halves.
Three teams signed up for the female competition: Reign FC, C20 FD, and Storm Breakers. C20 FD opened with a 1-0 win over Reign FC, while Storm Breakers defeated Reign FC 2-0. In the deciding match, C20 FD faced Storm Breakers and won 1-0 to claim the first-place title.
The male competition brought together nine teams: Tres Cocos, Los Carpinteros, Barefoot Ballers, Sports Bar FC, Beach Strikers, San Mateo Boys, Terror Squad, Ocean Predators, and Talal Boys. The male matches were played under a single-elimination format.
In the first round, Barefoot Ballers defeated Tres Cocos 5-0, Terror Squad advanced past Los Carpinteros on penalties following a draw, and Beach Strikers edged San Mateo Boys on penalties. Sports Bar FC received a bye into the second round, while Ocean Predators defeated Talal Boys 2-1 in another close contest. In the second round, Terror Squad defeated Sports Bar FC, while Beach Strikers got past Barefoot Ballers. After advancing through the competition, Terror Squad and Beach Strikers met in the final, with Terror Squad claiming the victory and the male first-place title.

Prizes were awarded to the first-place teams in both divisions. C20 FD, the female champions, received $200 and a case of Lighthouse beer, while Terror Squad, the male champions, took home $200 and two cases of beer.

Organizers used the event to bring together teams, spectators, and community supporters for an afternoon of beach soccer. Following the successful turnout, a representative of Infinity Island Beach Bar shared that more games and tournaments will be held soon.
