The San Pedro SAGA Humane Society is celebrating after several of its shelter dogs and cats recently found permanent homes. The organization thanked everyone who has opened their hearts and homes to a shelter pet, while reminding the public that many cats and dogs are still waiting to be adopted.
SAGA’s shelter and clinic are located on the northern end of Sea Grape Drive, adjacent to the John Greif II Municipal Airport. The facility currently cares for a large population of cats and dogs awaiting adoption. SAGA said the recently adopted animals are getting the chance to begin a new chapter with families who will provide the care and affection they deserve. “We are so grateful to everyone who opens their heart and home to these beautiful creatures,” the organization stated.
The shelter has many more animals available for adoption. “We have animals of all ages and sizes, each with their own unique personality and so much love to give,” SAGA added. Those interested in adopting a cat or dog are encouraged to visit the shelter and meet the animals. “Your new best friend could be waiting for you,” a staff member said.
The shelter is open Monday through Friday from 9AM to 5PM and Saturdays from 9AM to noon. It is closed on Sundays.
Founded in 1999, SAGA Humane Society is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established to address the stray dog and cat population in San Pedro Town while promoting responsible and humane treatment of animals.
