United FC and Caye Caulker draw as Over 35 Cup heads into Week 10

The Legends Over 35 Football Tournament continued its second round with an anticipated match between United FC and Caye Caulker on September 11th. The action-packed encounter ended in a 1-1 draw, keeping United FC in third place in the tournament standings.
Caye Caulker entered the match determined to secure the victory. Both teams had several opportunities but initially failed to score. United FC continued pressing against Caye Caulker’s resilient defense, and its persistence paid off near the end of the first half. United FC entered halftime with a 1-0 lead.
The game intensified after the break as United FC searched for a second goal. Caye Caulker tightened its defense, with its goalkeeper playing a crucial role in blocking several long-range attempts. Caye Caulker also pushed forward in search of the equalizer, but United FC’s defense initially denied every attempt.
Caye Caulker remained determined and continued attacking until it eventually leveled the match. After the equalizer, the team became more aggressive and repeatedly challenged United FC’s defense and goalkeeper but could not score a second goal. United FC held firm, and the match ended 1-1, with each team earning one point.
Caye Caulker stays in fourth place with ten points, followed by San Mateo in fifth. United FC holds third place with 11 points, while former leader Old Boys sits second with 12. E&L FC has moved to the top of the standings with 14 points.
The next round of matches will mark the tournament’s tenth week. United FC will face new leader E&L FC, while Old Boys will take on Caye Caulker.
