Bowen & Bowen Rebrands Crystal Water as Crystal by Dasani

Bowen & Bowen Limited has rebranded its long-standing Crystal Water as Crystal by Dasani, introducing new labels across its bottled water products in Belize. The rollout began with five-gallon bottles and will extend to the rest of the Crystal Water range.
The company describes the change as a planned brand evolution that links Crystal, a familiar Belizean product, with Dasani, the global bottled water brand owned by The Coca-Cola Company. According to Bowen & Bowen, only the name, labels, and packaging are changing. The water, production process, and quality standards remain the same.
The transition began in mid-September, when Bowen & Bowen introduced the Crystal by Dasani design on five-gallon bottles. Bottles bearing the new labels are being distributed across the market, while products with the original Crystal packaging remain on store shelves until existing stock is depleted. Consumers can expect to see both versions during the transition.
Rosanna Villanueva, Corporate Relations Manager at Bowen & Bowen, said the rebrand connects the local product with an internationally recognized name. “We are aligning with the Dasani brand,” Villanueva said. “Dasani is a Coca-Cola brand, and Coca-Cola is one of our external partners, so we are simply aligning our Crystal water with one of the most well-known and iconic water brands in the world.”
Villanueva also reassured customers that the product itself has not changed. “The water has not changed; Crystal water continues to be made the same way it has always been made, through a 12-step process. That has not changed—it is just the labeling and the branding.”
According to Bowen & Bowen, the rebrand aims to strengthen Crystal’s visibility by associating it with Dasani while maintaining the trust of customers familiar with the original brand. As older stock is sold, Crystal by Dasani will become the standard packaging across the company’s Crystal Water range.
