Fourteen officers attached to the San Pedro Police Sub-Formation were recognized for outstanding service during an inspection, general meeting, and awards ceremony at Sagebrush Church on Wednesday, October 21st. The awards acknowledged their work during July, August, and September 2026.
The event, held from 10AM to noon, brought personnel together to review their work, receive departmental updates, and recognize fellow officers’ contributions. The inspection and general meeting took place before the awards presentation.
Officer Commanding San Pedro, Assistant Superintendent of Police S. Nicholas, led the gathering alongside Deputy Officer Commanding for Administration, Inspector J. Lemus, and Deputy Officer Commanding for Operations, Inspector M. Castillo.
Chaplain Inspector Kenroy Elijio also attended and delivered a short devotion to the officers. The gathering allowed personnel and their commanding officers to discuss matters affecting the sub-formation and its work in the community.

During the meeting, Magistrate Brown addressed personnel regarding the Diversion Program. Her presentation provided officers with information about the program and its role as an alternative approach within the justice system. The discussion was part of the updates shared with officers before the recognition ceremony.
The award recipients were Corporals Hardie Welch and Ronald Williams; Police Constables Alba Sho, Stanley Williams, Edilberto Patt, Roy Flores, Beatrice Cholum, Kevin Rodriguez, Kerwyn Neal, Jarrel Martinez, and Travis Petillo; and Detective Constables Hubert Bermudez, Arley Castillo, and Rasheeda Ferguson.

The presentation recognized officers’ performance over the three months. It highlighted the contributions of personnel serving as police constables and detective constables, as well as those holding the rank of corporal.

The awards supported the sub-formation’s efforts to boost morale, acknowledge consistent performance, and encourage professionalism among its personnel. By recognizing officers alongside departmental discussions and inspections, the event combined ongoing work assessments with appreciation for dedicated service.
The San Pedro Police Sub-Formation plans to continue holding meetings, inspections, and awards presentations to encourage officers to maintain high standards while carrying out their duties in the community.
