Minister of Health and Wellness Receives COVID-19 Vaccine

On March 12, 2021, Hon. Michel Chebat, Minister of Health and Wellness, received his first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine at the Western Regional Hospital Flu Clinic.

Nurses of the Maternal and Child Health Unit first briefed Minister Chebat with a health education session on the vaccine after which he received the vaccination. Thereafter, the Minister waited for the required 15 minutes to monitor for any immediate side effects before departing the clinic.
At the conclusion of the process, the Minister expressed his gratitude for receiving his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and complimented the nurses for the smooth execution of the process.
Minister Chebat continues to encourage the public to take the vaccine when it’s their turn.
