The stretch of road before the Secret Beach junction north of San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye has received a facelift. The works are courtesy of a developer with Azure Belize and are in collaboration with San Pedro Town Council’s Deputy Mayor Gabriel ‘Gaby’ Nuñez. The portion of the road being maintained begins from where the pavement ends, and the developer has pledged to maintain this part of the road every two to three months.

azure belizeDeputy Mayor Nuñez briefly shared that the works will benefit everyone and is thankful to be working on this project with the developer at Azure Belize. He considers this collaboration a way of giving back to the community that has always welcomed foreign investors to the island.

The much-needed works saw grading and the compacting of materials on the surface of the road. Prior to this improvement, this portion of the road was a headache for drivers driving up north. Some areas were in deplorable conditions, particularly after rains. Sometimes even large vehicles reported damages due to the bad roads.

Azure is a dynamic new development on northern Ambergris Caye. It combines the privacy and luxury of villas and residences with the offering of a full-featured hotel situated on a 1,000 foot stretch of pristine beach. The development is flanked with the Belize Barrier Reef, a recognized World Heritage site, off the Eastern coast of La Isla Bonita.
