Taking the guesswork out of pool maintenance

Friday, September 28th, 2012

With the increase in demand for in-depth knowledge of pool maintenance, Don and Julie Putman of Island Pool Supply are hosting a freePool Seminar on Saturday, September 29th. Don told The San Pedro Sun that after taking over the business two years ago, they noticed a need for just such a seminar. “There have been many people coming in and asking questions. This seminar is hopefully a great way to answer them.” As always, knowledge is power. “Being able to give pool caretakers the knowledge and know-how can give them a better understanding of the problems that may arise, and ways to treat, and even prevent them.”

The seminar will be led by expert Tim Wang, General Manager for Universal Packaging (chemical distribution). He has 29 years of experience with Universal, which provides the products that are carried by Island Pool Supply. He also speaks three languages, including Spanish. Wang is especially looking forward to answering questions from attendees seeking information and education on products and ways to treat and maintain pools on the island and countrywide.

Set to start at 10AM SHARP (attendees are asked to please be on time), the seminar will take place on the beach by Crazy Canuck’s/Exotic Caye Beach Resort. Seats are filling up with eager people who are coming from all over, including Corozal and Caye Caulker. Those who have not signed up but wish to attend are encouraged to sign up at Island Pool Supply, located across from the San Marco Community Church.
