After 16 years of operating in one of San Pedro’s prime locations, the lease is up for BC’s Beach Bar and the island icon will be relocating to a surprise location. Owner Charlene Woods is not yet releasing the new location for BC’s, but she assures her beloved patrons that it will be on the beach.

Charlene explained that the lease may be up, but it’s not the end for BC’s. As a matter of fact, this is BC’s fourth move. The bar was originally located at Mata Rocks resort. In 1995 BC’s relocated to Coconut’s Resort, and just three years later it moved to its current location. BC’s, which is located on the beach front directly south of the Blue Water Grill, is a well-known and beloved bar for locals and tourists alike.
Charlene herself has become a local model for hospitality. “I love operating the bar and greeting everyone that comes by. I am so grateful to everyone that has supported BC’s over the past years,” she said. Charlene cherishes all the memories that have been made at BC’s, from the t-shirts that hang on the thatch roof to every single signature on the counters and the rails.

Charlene is also thankful to the proprietors for allowing her the opportunity to run BC’s from such a fantastic location. “This location is truly spectacular. I am honored that I got a chance to work from here. I look forward to the construction of Diamante Condominiums, I’m sure the view will be amazing,” said Charlene.
So, friends of BC’s, don’t worry, Charlene has promised that she will be back in operation before you know it! Best wishes Charlene! The San Pedro Sun looks forward to the new BC’s Beach Bar real soon!
