Child Stimulation Month kicks off with Preschool Parade
Wednesday, March 4th, 2015
Children are our future and as such, an entire month is dedicated each year to the celebration of our littlest Belizeans. The month long celebration, called Child Stimulation Month, kicked off on Monday, March 2nd with a preschoolers’ parade through the streets. This year’s celebrations are being held under the theme “Learn Early- Learn for Life”.
Dressed in colorful t-shits, the children along with parents/guardians made their way through the main streets of San Pedro waving balloons, singing and dancing. Island preschools include Ambergris Caye Preschool, ABC Preschool, Holy Cross Preschool, Little Angels Preschool, Brighter Tomorrow Preschool, Isla Bonita Preschool, Shining Stars Preschool and San Pedro Preschool.
Throughout the month, preschoolers will be participating in several fun activities including a sports day, gardening day, hug day, storytelling day, culture day, arts and craft day, and a variety of talent shows.
Child Stimulation Month is celebrated throughout Belize with aims of promoting early educational development.
