Letter to the Editor: Atlantic Bank ATM Machines

Sunday, May 31st, 2015

Dear Editor,
Letters-to-the-EditorAs a resident of San Pedro Town for past years, there are inconveniences that from time to time affect the people of this community but one thing I am noting is the lack of Automated Teller Machines by Atlantic Bank Limited. This Bank operates on one ATM for an island of about 20,000 citizens. There are countless times that our people are inconvenienced by it either, not having any money or just plain shortage of ATM’s on the island.
On behalf of the people of this community, we are rallying to the cause for the bank to at least include a second one (more will be better). It is a huge inconvenience as people get off work tired and it is depressing that one has to wait in a long line, many a times in the hot sun, just to find out that there is no cash on most times.
We are hoping that something can be done to provide some type of relief for our hard working people of this island, who are contributing, productive citizens.
I humbly thank you for your kind support in allowing me a space in your prestigious news media source to share my sentiments on behalf of the community at large.
Yours in Community,
Lizette Alamina-Gutierrez (Mrs.)

  1. Very good point. Atlantic Bank don’t care about customers; they just want to make more and more profit. That is why I don’t use that bank anymore.
And remember those raffle tickets that they always want you the poor customers to fill out, most of the time they pick the winner from their list and no raffle take place. How did I get to know? They forced me to sign a paper to keep my mouth shut so I can’t tell you.
Belize Bank has three ATM on this island that I know of. Maybe you can consider that.

  2. Mrs. Lizette Alamina-Guiterrez, I sympathize with the problem that you realize with the lack of ATM machines. The bank holds your money so it is your right to ask for more. If you are not happy then take your business elsewhere. All citizens can demand their needs or take their money to another bank. Customers must not forget the bank works for you. They can’t operate without your money.
Mrs. Lizette your letter to the editor was so politely written and well said I felt compelled to remind you and other readers that the bank can’t operate without their customers. Maybe they will take note of your letter and improve their customer service. Thank you for your time to submit your letter to the editor.

  3. but, but, karen is a sweey pie.
