Letter to the Editor: Food and Toy Drive for San Pedro Town

Letters-to-the-EditorDear Editor:
I am hereby writing for your humble assistance adhering with our community policing efforts. The San Pedro Community Policing Unit has decided to conduct a food and toy drive in coordination with the Youth Cadet program.
The food and toys collected from the drive will be handed over in a small hamper to persons in the poorer parts of San Pedro who are less fortunate. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to, San Pedrito, San Juan and San Mateo areas. This effort is in conjunction with the San Pedro Youth Cadets to show gestures of caring and sharing as we approach the Christmas Holiday season. This event commenced on November 20th and runs to December 20, 2015.
While donations are usually open and welcome, we would suggest small toys and non-perishable goods in your donation. The Community Policing officers and staff had been conducting surveys in different areas to narrow down and identify the best recipients for the well-deserved food hampers and toys. Your kind and generous contribution will go a long way in these hard times.
For addition information on the donation process or assistance in doing so, feel free to call (501) 600-6423.
Thanks in advance for your support.
Respectfully yours;
Henry Jemmott,
Assistant Superintendent, Deputy Coastal Executive Officer
