Letter to the editor: Another Great week for San Pedro

Share

Washington University of Health and Science greatly appreciates all the time and effort placed by the San Pedro Town Council with the ongoing improvements to the streets of our beautiful island of Ambergris Caye (La Isla Bonita). San Pedro road crews have been hard to work transporting fill to low lying areas while preparing the roadways for resurfacing. The road resurfacing project ensures quality improvement not only for the town, but for all the local businesses and the families in the community as they navigate through their busy day throughout town. WUHS students have already commented and complimented on how much smoother their commute to and from campus has already improved.
Hats off to a job well done!
On another great note, WUHS President, Dr. Malik Soudah and Vice President, Peggy Allen has the pleasure of attending the official inauguration of the Ambergris Stadium that was held on Sunday, May 21, 2017. “We were happy to attend the inauguration of the Ambergris Stadium and would personally like to extend our sincere gratitude for all of the individuals instrumental in achieving the completion of another one of the many projects that residents and visitors will continue to enjoy”.
WUHS shares the belief that the construction of the new stadium will be a great benefit for the citizens, especially the youth sports organizations of San Pedro. Not only will the stadium bring sports entertainment of the community, this new sporting facility has the potential to offer and improve the quality of life for all of the athletes and residents of our island. The facility will contribute to the physical development of our athletes through improving physical endurance while boosting self-esteem and confidence. It will also encourage youth to build friendship among teammates who participate in friendly matches or national competitions.
Hats off the Hon. Manuel Heredia, Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, the San Pedro Town Council along with all other contributors in making the stadium a reality to our community, once more Washington University of Health and Science wishes to thank you for a great job well done!
