Second Annual High Tea Charity Party a huge success

Share

On Saturday, October 14th, ladies from across Ambergris Caye gathered at Marbuck’s Coffee House for the second annual High Tea Charity Party. Organized as a fundraiser for the non-profit organization, Raise Me UP, the party was an amazing success.
Attendees were dressed in their best tea dresses and elegant hats for the event that started shortly after 3PM. The venue had been transformed with beautiful floral arrangements, draping white linens and smooth music in the background. Throughout the evening, the attending ladies enjoyed English treats such a scones and finger sandwiches while sipping on tea, wine, and other refreshing cocktails. Silent auctions and giveaways kept the crowd entertained.
Benefitting from the generosity of the patrons is one of the most active charity organization on the island. Raise Me Up hopes to efficiently and effectively meet needs of the San Pedro community through several projects including Collen’s Kitchen at the San Pedro Food Bank, Hope Haven Children’s Shelter, The Kids Club, Literacy Program at Holy Cross and New Horizon Seventh Day Adventist school and Adopt-A-Bear Christmas Toy-drive.
Financials for the event are yet to be released. Organizers would like to thank all sponsors who made the event possible, as well as the attendees who supported this worthy cause.
