Delicious paletas for SPRCS students
Saturday, November 2nd, 2019
Long time island visitors Debbie and Larry Heimgartner brought sweet treats once again to the students and staff of the San Pedro Roman Catholic School (SPRCS) on Monday, October 28th. The Heimgartners, who have been doing this activity for years on their wedding anniversary, were joined by Natasha Stuart, Emilia Baghdasaryan and Manelly’s Ice Cream Shop in distributing over 800 paletas (popsicles) in the school.
Teachers and students received their chocolate paletas with big smiles and much gratitude. “I fell in love with La Isla Bonita many, many years ago. The sand, the sun, the water, but, primarily the people drew me here each year and I truly feel Ambergris Caye is my center of the universe. Looking through the gates of the RC and seeing all those beautiful, young faces caused me to want to do something to give back. So, every year for our wedding anniversary, my husband and I find great joy in visiting the classrooms and sharing refreshing treats with the future of Belize,” said Debbie Heimgartner.
The management and students of SPRCS thank the Heimgartners and Manelly’s Ice Cream Shop for their generosity and love for their school.
