Ambergris Caye students observe National Hand Washing Day

Friday, March 20th, 2020

Thursday, March 19th was declared National Hand Washing Day in Belize. The Ministry of Education reportedly sent out soap to all the schools countrywide for students to wash their hands. The activity is expected to sensitize the general public to continue practicing proper hand washing in order to avoid the spread of diseases. Students at the Ambergris Caye Elementary School cheerfully celebrated the occasion and washed their hands with the soap sent by MOE.

At the moment, Belize remains free of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) that is causing a global health and economic crisis. The Ministry of Health continues to encourage Belizeans to commit to proper hand washing in order to prevent any potential contact with the deadly disease.
