The San Pedro chapter of the Belize Tourism Industry Association (BTIA) treated its members and frontline workers to holiday goodie bags at the beginning of the Christmas week. This token of appreciation was to acknowledge their contributions and optimism amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which has devastated the Belizean economy.
Restauranteurs and hoteliers have gone above and beyond to stay afloat and support their staff. Meanwhile, frontline workers like police, firefighters, and medical personnel, continue to risk their lives trying to keep Belizeans safe and reduce the number of COVID-19 infections. The BTIA San Pedro Chapter hopes that the small tokens bring some measure of Christmas joy to its recipients and thanks everyone in the community for doing their part in keeping everyone safe.
