BWS advises on service disconnection

Share

Belize Water Services (BWS) advises its customers with arrears to visit their offices to make payment arrangements and avoid disconnection. The water company posted a notice on Tuesday, January 12th stating that customers with three months or more in arrears in the Belize District could face disconnection for non-payment on their accounts.

A BWS representative explained that they would work with customers, particularly those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. According to them, they are primarily targeting accounts that have not been paid for almost a year. They need customers to visit their office to set up a payment plan. The only way disconnection will occur is if the customer cannot be located or no effort is made in reaching an agreement with BWS regarding the pending arrears.

Customers in San Pedro Town are asked to contact BWS at 222-4757 and be transferred to the San Pedro branch. The island’s BWS’ branch can also be visited on Manta Ray Street near Tropic Air Cargo.
