Appointment of Special Envoy for the Development of Families and Children

The Ministry of Human Development, Families and Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs is pleased to announce the selection of Mrs. Rossana Briceño as the Special Envoy for the Development of Families and Children. Mrs. Briceño will be officially appointed to her post in a ceremony to be held on Friday, January 22, 2021.
Mrs. Briceño, wife of the Prime Minister Hon. John Briceño, holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership as well as a master’s degree in Curriculum Development and Diagnostic Assessment. She also has a bachelor’s degree in Special Education.
Mrs. Briceño has an established career as an educator. She has taught at Stella Maris School, Belize Teachers College and St. Peter’s Anglican School, where she is currently the principal. She has been an advocate for students with special needs since 1987 and has worked closely with women’s groups.
