Commissioner of Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs Appointed

The Ministry of Human Development, Families and Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs is pleased to announce the appointment of attorney-at-law, Mr. Gregory Juan Ch’oc, as Commissioner of Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs.
Mr. Ch’oc is well-qualified and has over two decades of experience working with indigenous people at the local and international level. His scope of work includes addressing the unique needs of indigenous peoples and leading the implementation of the Caribbean Court of Justice consent order of 2015.
The Minister of Human Development, Families and Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs, Hon. Dolores Balderamos Garcia, the Minister of State Hon. Gilroy Usher and Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Tanya Santos Neal welcome Mr. Ch’oc and look forward to collaborating with him as the Ministry works to fulfil the mandate of its new portfolio.
