Hon. Francis Fonseca, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Technology; along with Mrs. Rossana Briceño, Special Envoy for the Development of Families and Children; and Mrs. Dian Maheia, CEO in the Ministry; attended a special presentation and tour of The Inspiration Center (TIC) in Belize City on March 11, 2021.
The presentation provided a background and history on TIC, a non-governmental organization, and also mentioned the current activities and programs being planned for the future. Discussions focused on the services that have been offered, the experiences of TIC’s staff in reaching out to children across the country, and the expansion towards teletherapy.
The visit, which ended with a tour of the facilities, underscores the commitment of the Government of Belize to promote inclusion and advocate for the needs of all our children.
Also in attendance were Mrs. Kim Simplis Barrow, Chair of TIC, and representatives from the Ministry of Health and Wellness, Ministry of Education, and the Office of the Special Envoy.
