Special Envoy Makes Courtesy Call to Governor General

On Monday, April 19, 2021, H.E. Rossana Briceño, the Special Envoy for the Development of Families and Children, made a courtesy call on H.E. Sir Colville Young, Governor General of Belize.
During their meeting, the Special Envoy discussed the needs of her office and potential areas in which the Office of the Governor General can assist. Mrs. Briceño also thanked the Governor General for his recent donation of BZ$5,000 towards the commencement of programs under the Office of the Special Envoy. For his part, the Governor General encouraged the Special Envoy to seek partnerships with the citizenry and business community to support the work of her office.
As Sir Colville Young prepares to demit office as the Governor General of Belize, he and the Special Envoy discussed his legacy over the last 28 years. His legacy will live on and he will be fondly remembered for his contributions to music, literature and education.
