Annual Love FM Christmas Parade brings festive cheer to San Pedro

The Love FM Christmas Parade, held on Sunday, December 15th, in San Pedro Town, was a vibrant celebration that brought the community together in a festive atmosphere filled with lights, music, and holiday spirit. This year’s event captured the excitement and joy typically associated with the parade on the island.
The parade began shortly after 6:30PM, starting from Boca Del Rio Park and winding through the streets of San Pedro. Participants included local businesses, schools, and community members, all showcasing beautifully decorated floats adorned with twinkling lights and festive motifs. The event featured various performances, including the San Pedro Roman Catholic marching band, the Belize Police Youth Cadet Corps, Sarah’s Drum Corps, and the San Pedro High marching band, all playing Christmas music. Children dressed in colorful costumes further added to the joyful ambiance.
One of the highlights was the community engagement, as families gathered along the parade route to cheer on the participants. The atmosphere was electric, filled with laughter and excitement. Many attendees took the opportunity to socialize with neighbors while enjoying this festive event.

In addition to the parade itself, activities were planned at the Saca Chispa field after the parade for. The field was transformed into a festive hub where families could enjoy live entertainment, food stalls, and activities for children. This gathering space fostered celebration and community bonding after the parade concluded.

One attendee remarked, “It feels magical to see everyone come together like this; it’s what Christmas is all about.” The 2024 Love FM Christmas Parade was a resounding success, sparking holiday cheer in San Pedro and setting a hopeful tone for future celebrations.
