San Pedro Churches Unite for Annual Bible Parade

Share

Churches across San Pedro came together on Friday, October 30th, for the annual Bible Parade, themed “Proclaiming that Jesus Lives!” Members of several Christian denominations joined the procession through town before gathering at Saca Chispas field for praise, worship, and prayers.
Participants assembled at Boca del Rio Park at 5:30PM, with the parade departing at 6:30PM. The procession included traffic officers, a fire engine, the San Pedro RC School Marching Band, and members of numerous churches. The route followed Pescador Drive, turning near San Pedro RC School before continuing to Saca Chispas field.
At the field, participating congregations gathered for fellowship as pastors and other church leaders offered prayers for island residents. The evening combined public expressions of faith with a message of Christian unity.
An organizer from the Asambleas de Dios Church explained that previous parades had taken place on different dates. This year’s procession also led into a two-day evangelistic crusade scheduled for Saturday, October 31st, and Sunday, November 1st, at Saca Chispas field.
Father Eduardo Montemayor of the San Pedro Roman Catholic Church said he accepted an invitation to participate and welcomed the opportunity to promote unity among Christians. “I thought it was a great way to show unity and to proclaim Christ together,” he said.
He also emphasized cooperation among churches. “It’s really important for people to have faith that we are not divided, that we are not attacking, but that we can unite and proclaim Christ together.”

The parade gave congregations a chance to strengthen their connections, while the two-day crusade offered another opportunity to share their faith with the island community.
