San Pedro bids farewell to island matriarch Tomasita Gomez
On Wednesday, July 29th, Tomasita Reymunda Guerrero de Gomez passed away at the age of 100 after a lifetime dedicated to her family, faith, and the development of San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye. A proud matriarch and one of the island's most respected women, Tomasita left a legacy through her contributions to the community and the generations of islanders she inspired.

Dennis William Langley passed away recently at the age of 83. Dennis was born to William and Ivy. He lived a life shaped by independence, curiosity, and an appreciation for the experiences and places that became part of his journey. Over the course of his years, he called Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Belize home, embracing the cultures, landscapes, and friendships that each place brought him. Among all the places he lived and visited, Dennis held a special love for San Pedro, Belize.

Remembering Long-Time Island Resident Iain Ritchie
The San Pedro community is mourning the passing of Stanley Iain Ritchie, “Iain,” a longtime island resident, entrepreneur, and family man, who died on January 23rd. Ritchie was born on February 16, 1939, in England to Victor and Nancy Ritchie, and spent more than four decades making an indelible contribution to life on Ambergris Caye.
