Island Wonder Kitchen + Bar bring new vibes on Coconut Drive
Formerly K’s Diner, Island Wonder Kitchen + Bar on Coconut Drive, is now under new ownership and management. The revamped eatery held a name reveal party on Wednesday, November 20th, in the presence of patrons and invited guests. Island Wonder Kitchen + Bar, open Monday to Saturday, offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a variety of local and international cuisine.

Nagel & Associates, LLC hosts a conference on Financial Opportunities in Belize
The 23rd Annual President's Week Asset Protection & Investment Conference was held at the Caye International Bank building in San Pedro Town from Saturday, November 9th to Wednesday, November 13th. The conference, sponsored by Nagel & Associates, LLC and highlighted current global, political, and economic situations as they relate to issues such as crushing student debt and lack of financial opportunities faced by millennials.

Christmas Concert to benefit Dr. Otto Rodriguez San Pedro Polyclinic II
All is set for a fundraiser Christmas concert at Fido’s Restaurant and Bar on Friday, December 13th. The fundraiser, organized by the San Pedro Chapter of the Belize Tourism Industry Association (SP BTIA), will raise funds to purchase much-needed supplies for the island’s only public health center, The Dr. Otto Rodriguez San Pedro Polyclinic II.

Belize hosts first-ever National Children’s Parliament
To commemorate International Children’s Day and the 30th anniversary of Belize signing on to the United Nation’s Convention on the Rights of a Child (CRC), the first-ever Children’s Parliament was held at the National Assembly Building in Belmopan City on Wednesday, November 20th.

Ambergris Caye Rotary Club teams up with Chair The Love to distribute wheelchairs to island residents
Several island residents were the recipients of a new wheelchair courtesy of the efforts of the Rotary Club of Ambergris Caye and Florida, USA based organization, Chair The Love. The handing over of the wheelchairs was held at the conference room of the Banyan Bay Suites south of San Pedro Town on Monday, November 18th, to select patients who had never owned one or needed a replacement.

BEL officially inaugurates new office in San Pedro Town
Belize Electricity Limited (BEL) officially inaugurated its new office building on Pescador Drive in San Pedro Town, on Friday, November 15th. BEL employees, island authorities, loyal customers, and the media witnessed the inaugural ceremony. Constructed at the cost of $700, 0000, the structure symbolizes BEL’s commitment to providing the best quality of service to its customers.

On Thursday, November 14th, Belizeans joined millions around the world in observing World Diabetes Day. San Pedro Town was not the exception, where members of the San Pedro Lions Club held a walk to increase awareness about this disease.
