San Pedro Police remove gun and ammunition from streets

San Pedro Police are looking for a Hispanic male person who was carrying a school bag with marijuana and a 9mm pistol with 11 live rounds. The individual was intercepted by the Police Quick Response Team on Monday, October 30th at the Central Park when he was about to get into a taxi. When he saw the presence of the police the suspect fled the scene leaving the bag in the taxi.
It is speculated that the person had just arrived at the island via water taxi, and police believe he might still be hiding somewhere in town.
In the meantime, while police continue searching for the suspect drugs and another weapon have been removed from the streets.
