Island businessman interrogated by the Commission of Inquiry on dubious land transactions and relation with former Deputy Prime Minister

On Friday, February 26th, the commission interrogated another group of persons of interest, among them San Pedro’s businessman Kevin (Zhourong) Li, who was questioned about his relationship with the former Minister in charge of the Lands Department Hugo Patt, and how he was able to obtain multiple properties within a short time.

Security forces work together to deter piracy activities increasing on Belizean waters

The Belize Police Department and the national coast guard have joined forces to combat piracy activities following the aggravated burglary at Lark Caye, six miles east of Placencia Village in southern Belize. Anke Doehm’s criminal case remains adjourned

A check with the Supreme Court in Belize City confirmed that Doehm remains in the country. Her court appearance reportedly took place in May of this year, and since then, no other court appearances are confirmed.
