Team Papaya Power presented with their Sagicor Visionary Challenge prizes

Since they began participating, San Pedro High School students have excelled in the annual Sagicor Visionary Challenge. In March of 2016, team Papaya Power took the runner up prize with their Papaya Leaf Tea. During a short ceremony at the school’s auditorium, Sagicor marketing manager Marlene Chin of Trinidad and Tobago handed over the prize to the winners. Among the gifts was a $2,000USD check for the school, and $8000BZ worth of lab equipment, including a set of vernier caulipers with 18 apps, one physics kit and chemistry and biology kits. Vice Principal Conchita Flota thanked Sagicor for the opportunity to participate in the challenge, and congratulated the participating teams that have exalted the name of the school in the educational competition. SPHS is ready to represent in the upcoming challenge, with three teams taking part to try and bring the first prize to La Isla Bonita!
