Young dancers from the San Pedro Dance Academy (SPDA) showcased their skills during their Annual Christmas Dance Show. Held on Sunday, December 11th, at the San Pedro Lions Den, the anticipated show drew a large crowd of family and friends eager to cheer on the island’s young talent.

San Pedranos celebrate Belize’s 41st birthday with massive parade

Revelers invaded the main streets of San Pedro Town on Wednesday, September 21st, to celebrate the nation’s 41st Independence anniversary with a massive parade that included schools, citizen marching bands, and energetic carnival dancers. The parade, said to be the longest in island history, started from Blake Street and Coconut Drive, south of downtown, and ended north at the Boca del Rio beach park.

Trinidadian soca artist Destra Garcia popularly known as Destra, offered a concert in San Pedro Town on Saturday, September 17th delighting hundreds of islanders. The anticipated San Pedro Soca Festival at Honourable Louis Sylvestre Sporting Complex ignited the carnival spirit in every reveler attending the show.

First Belize International Music and Food Festival draws the crowds to San Pedro

Over the weekend of Saturday, July 30th, San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye was the epicenter of entertainment in the country after hosting one of the largest music festivals in Belize. The first edition of the Belize International Music and Food Festival held at the Honourable Louis Sylvestre Sporting Complex-Saca Chispas brought two days packed with food and the best of Belizean and international performers to the island.

San Pedro’s first International Music and Food Festival this weekend; boat tickets deals offered

This weekend, Saturday, July 30th, and Sunday, July 31st, San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, will host the Belize International Music and Food Festival, the first of its kind. It will take place at the Honourable Louis Sylvestre Complex, Saca Chispas. The festival will include the best of Belizean and international cuisine and an impressive line-up of local and international musical artists. To make it easier for people traveling to the island from the mainland (Belize City), the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) has partnered with San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi to provide discounted rates on round-trip tickets for those attending the festival.

San Pedro Lobster Fest block party returns with a blast 

The first block party in honor of the lobster season since the COVID-19 pandemic was held on Saturday, July 9th,   at the Honourable Louis Sylvestre Sporting Complex. The annual festivity included the highly anticipated week-long Lobster Crawl that culminated with a fantastic party, complete with gaily-decorated restaurant booths offering savory bites of lobster dishes, and unique cocktails to wash them all down. A highlight of the evening was a food and drink competition.

Dia de San Pedro ends with international show featuring Mexican singer Pedro Fernandez

Unlike other years, when Dia de San Pedro was more of a religious celebration, this year took a different twist featuring the Miss San Pedro Pageant along with international DJ Osocity and Mexican singer Pedro Fernandez. A large Mariachi band from Mexico City accompanied Fernandez and delighted hundreds of islanders on the festival’s closing night.
