Recycled hopscotch set installed at Holy Cross Anglican School
Holy Cross Anglican School students can now enjoy a recycled hopscotch set that was installed at their school on Tuesday, April 9th. The hopscotch blocks are made from recycled glass collected during various clean-up campaigns hosted by San Pedro Clean and Green.

Restaurateurs and the Public are asked to use, consume and dispose of all Queen Conch meat in their possession on or before April 30th, 2019 as the season will close on that date due to the realization of the Queen Conch quota.

Sanitation personnel at SPTC notes a decrease in Sargassum influx
Over the past weeks, large areas of the Boca del Rio strip were inundated with large amounts of Sargassum affecting many business establishments along the coastline. Beach hotels have also been affected. However, they have opted to set barriers in front of their beaches in an attempt to keep their areas free of the seaweed.

GOB Expands Marine Protected Areas in Biodiverse Offshore Waters
On Wednesday, April 3rd, the Government of Belize (GOB) approved “The Expansion of Fisheries Replenishment (No-Take) Zones,” which will increase the total area of Belize’s protected waters from 4.5 percent to 11.6 %, according to Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS).
