Governor General Receives Letters of Credence from New Ambassador of El Salvador to Belize

The Ambassador of El Salvador to Belize, H.E. Mrs. Julia Carolina Rovira Aguilar, on September 29, 2020 presented her letters of credence to the Governor General of Belize, H.E. Sir Colville Young.

In welcoming the new ambassador, the Governor General spoke of the long friendship shared between the two Central American nations and his wishes for its continuation. He also noted the important role Belize has played in providing a haven for refugees fleeing El Salvador.

For her part, Ambassador Rovira Aguilar thanked the Governor General for his warm welcome and wishes for a strengthened relationship between the two countries during her tenure.

The brief presentation took place at the Belize House in Belmopan.
