On April 20, 2021, the Ministry of the Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform (MPSCPR) in collaboration with Galen University, launched the Good Governance, Transparency and Ethics Training of Trainers course. Forty public officers from different ministries will be trained as trainers to implement the anti-corruption curriculum to public officers within the wider public service.
In his virtual address to the participants, Dr. Osmond Martinez, CEO in the Ministry, said, “This anti-corruption training strategically mobilizes all segments of society to create public awareness. It is in alignment with the promise made by the Briceño Administration through Plan Belize for good governance and anti-corruption within our government system.”
On February 18, 2021, the Ministry signed a memorandum of understanding with the Love Foundation to implement anti-corruption training for public officers as a part of its continuous professional development programme. The Galen Institute of Leadership Development and Continuing Education is conducting this training of trainers’ program, which will conclude on May 27, 2021.
