Governor-General Leads Delegation to Taiwan
While at the Presidential Palace, the Governor-General and President Tsai witnessed the signing of a bilateral agreement by Belize’s Attorney General Hon. Michael Peyrefitte and Taiwan’s Justice Minister Hon. Tsai Ching-Hsiang that would see the two countries cooperate on addressing matters of anti-corruption.

Restriction on Sale of Intoxicating Liquor on Election Day
The Elections and Boundaries Department hereby reminds the public and liquor license holders of Rule 12 of the Village Council (Elections) Regulations 2009 (Statutory Instrument No. 134 of 2009) which states that every person who is the holder of a liquor license granted under the Intoxicating Liquor Licensing Act shall be prohibited from the sale of all forms of intoxicating liquor during the period from the opening of nominations right up to the announcing of the results.

Minister of Postal Services and Belize’s Post Master General attend the Caribbean Council of Ministers Meeting and Conference in Cuba
The theme for the meeting was, “Building on the Pillars of the Caribbean Regional Postal-Sector Strategy”, and the main presentation on key challenges and opportunities facing Caribbean posts was delivered by Secretary General of the Caribbean Postal Union (CPU), Mr. Guillermo Raymond.

Letter of Intent Signed between Belize and the Republic of China (Taiwan) for Cooperation in Tourism
As a part of the celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belize and the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation of Belize and the Ministry of Transportation and Communications of the Republic of China (Taiwan) signed a Letter of Intent on a framework for tourism cooperation.

Minister of Health Heads Delegation on Official Visit to Cuba
The Honourable Pablo Marin, Minister of Health, arrived in Havana, Cuba on June 16, 2019, to meet with his counterpart Minister Jose Angel Portal Miranda. They assessed the current state of cooperation and exchanged ideas on how to improve the work programme between both countries.
