Changes in the Pump Price of Premium Gasoline and Diesel Oil
he Ministry of Finance announces that effective Tuesday, June 4, 2019, the pump price for Premium Gasoline will increase by 24 cents from $11.30 to $11.54 per gallon. At the same time, the pump price for Diesel Oil will decrease by 21 cents from $10.46 to $10.25 per gallon.

Belize Signs Framework Agreement with PARLACEN
The Framework Agreement was signed during the Plenary Assembly of PARLACEN in Guatemala City by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Laura Tucker Longsworth, and, on behalf of PARLACEN, by Honourable Irma Amaya. The purpose of the Framework Agreement is to establish the basis for relations that will allow academic-interinstitutional cooperation between PARLACEN and the National Assembly of Belize.

As Belize continues to prepare to head to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to settle the Guatemalan territorial claim, the House of Representatives and the Senate amended the 1992 Maritime Areas Act, restoring its claim to its previous 12 miles of territorial seas instead of the recent three nautical miles as stipulated under international law.
