Another life saved at Belize Hyperbaric Chamber

Share

The Belize Hyperbaric Chamber is pleased to share another successful testimonial about their services. On Tuesday, April 11th, American National Elizabeth Farnham was referred by Scuba Sensations Dive Shop in Caye Caulker after she became unconscious after diving. After successful treatment at the chamber, she shared her experience with The San Pedro Sun.
“When I arrived in San Pedro, the San Pedro Police made the call to the recompression facility. The evacuation was organized in a timely manner, as I was unconscious. My partner approved of the facility in my stead,” said Farnham. She said that the staff doctor was extremely professional, and kept her well-informed and feeling safe.
Farnham experienced involuntary convulsions upon regaining consciousness, possibly due to oxygen toxicity. However, after the mask was removed, the convulsions stopped.
“I thank the Hyperbaric Chambers staff for saving my life. I will forever be grateful,” she said. Farnham is currently seeing a doctor in Colorado, USA for a follow-up.
