Ministry of Public Service Promotes Healthcare Packages for Women Public Officers

Hon. Henry Charles Usher, the Minister of the Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform, and Dr. Osmond Martinez, Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry, along with the Office of the Special Envoy for the Development of Families and Children, the Ministry of Health and Wellness and the Public Service Union of Belize have embarked on a joint venture in offering discounted preventative care services and packages to women public officers, with the aim of supporting their healthcare needs from now through April 23, 2021.
Minister Usher and CEO Martinez recognize that the health of public officers is a determining factor in creating great workplace productivity. They believe in a work culture that promotes health through all aspects of public officers’ lives and encourage all women public officers to take advantage of these services and packages being offered.
The Minister has given approval for female public officers to visit the participating health centers to receive the following services being offered by the Ministry of Health and Wellness:
1. Free Pap Smears
2. Free Dental Checkup
3. Free Complete Physical Checkup (blood, urine, etc.)
Commenting on the initiative, Minister Usher said, “I want nothing but the best for all our public officers. I want them to be healthy and feel good.”
