Share

The Ministry of Health & Wellness (MoHW) has strengthened its regulatory functions countrywide with an increase in inspections of businesses, pharmacies, food establishments, and hotels in every district.
Officers in Environmental Health, Drug Inspectorate, Vector, Pharmacy, and Licensing and Accreditation units, among others, have been on the ground daily, ensuring that the public has access to safe medication, safe food, and safer environments.
The Health Education, Nutrition, Drug Abuse Control Council, and Mental Health units have also strengthened in areas such as capacity building and the creation and implementation of policies to promote and improve preventative and primary health care.
The MOHW extends its gratitude to everyone working towards the health goals in Belize at every level of care. The work that is being accomplished is not going unnoticed and, even more importantly, it will have significant positive impacts on the health status of the people of Belize.
The Ministry of Health & Wellness asks for the support of all healthcare providers who are interacting and working alongside the public, and further asks for continued compliance with the rules and regulations set forth by the ministry.
