President of Acquafino Island Resort and Spa, William Narod, made a donation of $500 to Miss World Belize 2016-2017 and former Miss San Pedro 2015-2016, Iris Salguero on Thursday, November 17th. Salguero has been rigorously preparing to compete in the ‘Miss World Pageant’ on December 18, 2016.acquafino-donation-to-miss-world-1 The competition will take place in Washington D.C, USA at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Centre, where current Miss World, Mireia Lalaguna of Spain, will crown her new successor.
Salguero thanked Narod for his donation. “I feel really grateful and thankful because anything I get that will help me is appreciated. It has been a just a month since I won Miss World Belize and I haven’t had much time to prepare. It’s been really expensive when it comes to my wardrobe and travelling,” said Salguero.acquafino-donation-to-miss-world-3
Narod was happy to donate to Miss World Belize. “We decided to donate to her because we are proud of what she has done. We believe she is a great representative for Belize, and we are proud to be associated with her. Secondly, she has had very short time to get ready and get finances for this event. We are hoping to encourage other people besides ourselves to contribute as well because she needs as much help as possible,” said Narod.acquafino-donation-to-miss-world-2
Salguero has been practicing her modeling, dances, speech, and composure, as she hopes to represent Belize well. She would like to give thanks to Acquafino, Coral Cable Vision, Mr. Mike, family, friends, and all of her supporters.
