Elizabeth Grace Sánchez was crowned Miss San Pedro 2026 on August 29th, emerging victorious from a field of four delegates during the annual pageant held at the Saca Chispas Field. Under the vibrant theme “¡Que Viva el Carnaval!”, Sánchez competed alongside Samantha Ayala, Kami Valencio, and Bessy Gonzalez before a live audience and panel of judges.

The colorful event kicked off at 8PM and featured a series of pageant segments, entertainment, and carnaval-inspired presentations.

The evening combined traditional pageant segments with the colorful energy of carnaval.

Contestants were evaluated in a carnival-inspired national costume segment, a swimsuit competition, an evening gown presentation, and a question-and-answer segment designed to showcase their poise, confidence, and public speaking abilities. The panel of judges consisted of Tanisha Vernon, Kristy Eiley, Xavier Rojas, and Bianca Tejero.

Grupo Crash from El Salvador delivered several energetic performances throughout the event, while the San Pedro R.C. School Dance Group also entertained the audience. DJ Johnny kept the music flowing throughout the night, while Jerry Badillo and Natalie Arceo served as hosts for the pageant.
San Pedro Mayor Gualberto “Wally” Nuñez delivered the official welcome address, describing the pageant as a celebration of the young women representing the island community. “It is a great honor to welcome everyone to this wonderful celebration of beauty, intelligence, confidence, and most importantly, incredible young women who represent our community,” he said.
“We’re not only choosing a Queen, but we’re also celebrating the strength, talent, and potential of the women of San Pedro,” Nuñez continued. He encouraged the delegates to remember that “true beauty comes from within. From your character, your kindness, and the positive impact you make on others.” He concluded by wishing all four delegates the best of luck in the competition.

At the end of the competition, Sánchez was officially crowned Miss San Pedro 2026. Bessy Gonzalez was named first runner-up and also received the Miss Photogenic award, while Kami Valencio earned the Miss Congeniality title.

As the new titleholder, Sánchez will represent San Pedro at community events and activities throughout the coming year while promoting the island’s culture and tourism. With the crown now hers, Sánchez begins a year of engagements representing San Pedro and its community.
